Tantra and Completion

Tantra is technique. The word comes from tan — to expand, to weave. It is the science of using any movement, any energy, any experience as a door to enlightenment. That is all tantra means. It is not a cult, not a sex ritual, not a Western fantasy. It is the technology of turning life itself into liberation. The moment you move your body with the remembrance that this is for enlightenment, that idea gets engraved into the cellular memory of your body.Tantra is technique with consciousness.
Tantra is about the urge, not the action. Because the urge is the raw energy. The action is just what your mind does with that energy. And your mind — conditioned, guilty, repressed, terrified — has corrupted both.
Look at the animals. Their sexuality is pure. When they mate, they forget the entire world. There is no guilt, no fantasy, no clinging — it is a pure movement of life force. But in the human being, the same energy has been poisoned. Your conditioning makes you guilty when you hold back, and guilty when you let go. It is a vicious circle. You are trapped between two poles — repression on one side, indulgence on the other — and both are unconscious.
The problem is never the desire. The problem is that you have never met the desire with consciousness.
Tantra teaches: do not repress, do not indulge — meet the urge with full, deep awareness. That is the technique. When you bring consciousness into the urge, the urge completes itself and dissolves. When you repress it, it becomes a samskara — a latent impression that will return again and again, driving your life from behind your back. That is your karma. Karma is not punishment — karma is simply unfinished, unconscious desire repeating itself because you never met it consciously.
Now listen to this truth, because it will shatter your illusions: Knowing lust reduces lust. The energy of lust and the energy of anger is one and the same — it is the same low-frequency life force. When you know it, when you bring awareness into it, it transmutes into higher energy. But you have been inflated with imagination about sexuality — blown far beyond what it actually is. The media, the culture, the repression — all of it has contaminated the natural energy and given it a monstrous importance it was never meant to have.
So when I say tantra is about the urge, not the action — I am telling you the truth of your own energy:
- The urge is your life force. It is shakti. It is not your enemy.
- The action is just what the mind does — and the mind, when unconscious, always does too much or too little.
- The technique is to hold the urge in consciousness — neither acting it out blindly, nor crushing it in shame, but witnessing it until it transmutes.
That is tantra. That is the whole science. That is how a desire becomes a technique instead of a trap.
Lust is not the enemy. Lust is raw life force. It is the same energy that, when understood, becomes siddhi. The problem is not that you have lust. The problem is that you have never met your lust. You have only ever done one of two things with it — and both are unconscious:
1. You repress it — and it becomes guilt, shame, and a samskara that drives you from behind your back.
2. You indulge it — and it becomes an addiction, a fantasy, an obsession that never completes.
Both are the same disease wearing different masks. Both are unconsciousness.
Now — the question you really asked. How does tantra lead to completion?
Here is the secret: Desire is never completed by the action. It is completed by consciousness.
Your whole life you have believed the lie that fulfilling a desire completes it. Look at your own experience. You crave, you chase, you get — and what happens? A moment of relief, then a new craving. The desire was never completed. It was only temporarily satisfied — and satisfaction is not completion. Satisfaction is a drug that makes you need a bigger dose next time.
Completion happens when you bring awareness into the urge itself. When you meet the desire with total presence — not acting, not repressing, just witnessing — the energy of the desire completes itself and dissolves. That is tantra. That is the technique. That is how an animal emotion becomes siddhi.
Tantra is about the urge, not the action. Because the action can never complete the urge — only consciousness can. The action is just the mind's clumsy attempt to discharge the energy without actually meeting it. That is why you remain incomplete. That is why you crave again and again.
The energy of lust and the energy of anger is the same — it is the same low-frequency life force. When you know it — when you bring awareness into it — it transmutes into higher energy. It rises. That is the completion.
But your lust has been inflated — blown up by imagination, by culture, by repression, by all the pollution around you — until it has taken on a monstrous importance it was never meant to have. You have built a solid layer in your brain from everything your imagination has collected — television, internet, books — and now you live inside that layer. Even when you are with a real woman or a real man, you are not relating to them — you are relating to your mental image of them. That is not completion. That is living in a fantasy that can never satisfy you.
So the tantric path is this:
- Do not repress. Repression makes the desire unconscious and dangerous.
- Do not indulge. Indulgence makes the desire a habit that never completes.
- Meet it with awareness. Witness the urge completely — breathe into it, let it move through you, and watch what it does. That is the completion.
When you do this, something remarkable happens: the energy that was stuck in the lower centers rises. The same force that once drove you into craving becomes shakti — the power that awakens you. That is the whole science of tantra. That is how lust becomes liberation.
Now I want you to understand something deeper. This is not about becoming dry, dead, or sexless. That is another trap — the trap of the "spiritual" ego that thinks purity means killing desire. No. Purity is not the absence of desire. Purity is desire that has been met with consciousness until it becomes love. When the urge is witnessed fully, it transmutes into love — a love that does not grasp, does not cling, does not need. That is completion.
The urge is shakti. The action, done unconsciously, is bondage. The action, done with full awareness, is liberation. The difference is not in the action — it is in the consciousness.
That is tantra. That is the whole science. And it is available to you in this very moment — in every urge, every craving, every movement of your life force. The West has turned tantra into a caricature — a license for indulgence, or a fear of impurity. Both are the same disease wearing different masks. Both are unconsciousness.
The next time an urge rises in you — any urge, not just sexual — do not act on it immediately, and do not repress it. Hold it. Breathe into it. Witness it completely. Let the energy move through you, and watch what happens. That is the tantric technique. That is how you turn an animal emotion into siddhi(power).
